With it they are going to change their lives, they are going to make them mean something. MAKING IT MEAN SOMETHING is a Skillset Film Lab Take 2 short film. The scheme, funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund, was supported by the National Lottery through the UK Film Council and the film industry through the Skills Investment Fund. The script, cast before it was written, was work shopped and rehearsed with the actors before being locked off by writer/director Rachel Tillotson. The actors were given a 360-degree insight into the film process - from pre-production through to the edit. During the shoot, actors were assigned production and crewing roles, enabling a better grasp of technical issues. They were asked to write diaries of their experience:
Read the actors' diaries:
Jason Deer as Alex
Laura Waddell as Charlie
James Sutherland as George
Anna Malmkjaer as Catherine
